Tailored Jacket Drafting & Making Course

$2,000.00

Tailoring is a very challenging technique and rare skill to home sewers. However, with our professional guidance, everything will become nice and easy :). We will help you achieve your first ever be spoke tailored jacket in this course. This will definitely be one of your most proud achievements.

Course Schedules:

Day 1: Terms & meaurements & Jacket block making

Day 2: Two pieces sleeve block making & block adjustments

Day3: Dart manipulation & Couture Guideline, how to draw design on block, add grainline

on each block, notch, title each piece.

Day 4: Pattern making continues.

Day 5: Transfering working pattern;

             Pattern info checklist:

·      Title(size, style, location)

·      Grain line, cutting info, fabric process

·      Notches

·      Add 1 cm seam allowance all around except fold line.

Day 6: Sample cutting

Block Fusing.

Day7: Sewing instructions (Horse Hair & Shoulder pads application)

            1. Sew all outer together first

            2. Join facing & Linaing together .

            3. Join lining at openings: collar, sleeve,

                 hems.

Day 8: Sample Constrction continues.

Day 9: Sample fitting and problem suiting. Pattern adjustion.

Day 10: Final fabric cutting.

Day 11: sewing Finals.

Day 12: Finish final!

We will provide sewing machines, pattern paper, card boards and horse hair for shoulders during the course.Students needs to have their own pattern making & sewing tools:

  • paper scissors (can get from dollar shop),

  • glass head pins & pin cushion, matching threads for final fabrics (spotlight)

  • Snips, tweezers, unpicker ( $9 for these three)

  • Tailoring scissors (10’’/ $65)

  • Stainless steal meter rulers ($8)

  • Pattern master ($29)

  • Patchwork ruler (24’’ x6’’/ $40)

  • measuring tape ($8)

BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY

-Cancellation is allowed at any time before the class starts, but relevant fees will occur.

If you cancel your course after your purchase, a transaction fee will be charged.

If you cancel your class in less than 2 weeks before the course starts, 50% of your payment will be charged.

If you cancel after the course starts or not show up for the class, no refund will be given.

CODE OF CONDUCT

-Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class.

-Please secure your personal belongings.

-Please DO NOT put cups on the machines or working surface. Food and drinks are only allowed in the kitchen area.

-Please DO NOT attempt any equipment without supervision if you are unsure. We don't want any injury or damage to you or the equipment. Students are liable for any damage to themselves and equipment causing by unsupervised attempts.

LIABILITY WAIVER

-At TIMELESS FASHION your health, safety and security are paramount. We would hate to see you injured, so we will take every reasonable effort to protect you from exactly that. However, given the nature of handling sewing machines, hot irons, and fashion drawing & cutting tools, to train at TIMELESS FASHION you acknowledge, understand, and agree that there are risks of injury by do the above training and handling the mentioned tools.

-By completing the below waiver, you acknowledge, that:

-The activities I undertake at TIMELESS FASHION are of my own free will and are done so at my own risk, therefore it would be unreasonable for TIMELESS FASHION to be responsible in any way for any injury (of any kind) or death.

-I hereby waive all legal rights of action against and fully release TIMELESS FASHION, its Directors, Instructors, Employees, for the loss, damages or injuries arising out-of or in-relation to the participation by myself in the activities conducted or organised by TIMELESS FASHION; including, without limitation, liability of any negligent act or omission, breach of duty, breach of care or beach of statutory duty on the part of TIMELESS FASHION.

-I confirm that I alone assume the risk of, and the responsibility for, any injury resulting from my participation in my activities. I participate in activities at my sole risk and responsibility and release, indemnify and hold harmless TIMELESS FASHION.
